Imagine arriving in a new country. You want to enter the workforce, but you don't understand the work culture, the requirements, or the digital tools used. How do you integrate yourself? This is where MiA (the Diversity in the Workplace Foundation) comes in. Each year, they reach 34,000 people, providing guidance, training, and courses in areas such as Norwegian language, personal finance, workplace skills, digital literacy, career development, and labor laws and regulations.

MiA works to promote inclusion and participation in working life and society for everyone, regardless of background or circumstances. While they achieve a lot, they face financial challenges. They currently rely on short-term and unpredictable project funding. The Prospera Foundation will assist MiA in achieving a sustainable economy.

Pro bono-prosjektet

In close collaboration with MiA's administration, the team will help find a new funding model to provide a predictable and sustainable economy tailored to current activity levels. MiA has a financial plan until spring 2026, but they need solutions for continued operations. They seek funding locally, nationally, and internationally, and generate some income from selling their own courses. MiA will test new approaches throughout the project

The pro bono team will provide:

Gather insights:
1. Get an overview of MiA's accounts and current operating model.
Based on these insights:
1. Identify multiple financial pillars to rely on, such as new foundations/funds, public sector funding, and/or private businesses
2. In close cooperation with MiA, prioritize which financial opportunities they should pursue.
3. Provide strategic proposals on how MiA can work purposefully towards new financial opportunities.
